Who we are

As women, we experience profound shifts in our bodies, minds, and lives during and around menopause. These transitions, while natural, often come with challenges—hormonal changes, fatigue, mood swings, weight changes, hot flashes, and a sense of disconnection from our bodies. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

My mission is to help you function optimally during this transformative time, so you can reclaim balance, vitality, and joy in your life. Through a personalized, holistic approach blending functional medicine, lifestyle guidance, and emotional support, I partner with you to address the root causes of your symptoms and empower you to thrive.

This space is for women who are ready to take charge of their health, align their physical and emotional well-being, and embrace this new season as an opportunity for growth, self-discovery, and renewal. Let’s create a path to wellness—together.

Alicia’s Story

Hormonal shifts wrecked havoc on my life, I lost control of my emotions, thoughts, and felt like a stranger in my body.
— Alicia Bradley

Alicia’s professional journey began at Morehead State University where she became the sole nursing tutor on campus and served as an in-home caregiver. She then became a critical care nurse in the surgical ICU at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. Her career later expanded into nursing education where she thrived as a clinical instructor, success coach, and clinical lab director. Alicia’s commitment to women’s health deepened when she trained as a doula, attending births in various settings and embracing a holistic approach to woman health care.

Motherhood marked a transformative time for Alicia as she faced severe postpartum psychosis. The hormonal shifts of postpartum caused her to lose control over her body, emotions, and thoughts. She felt absolutely broken. Through her challenges, Alicia discovered Common Ground Wellness and the profound healing power of holistic care, which she truly believes saved her life. The wisdom, skills, and tools she gained from this experience have proven to be highly effective to support perimenopausal and menopausal women.

It was her work with young mothers and perimenopausal women that inspired her to pursue a Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Frontier Nursing University. There, she trained alongside midwives, physicians, and nurse practitioners. Over the years practitioners from various backgrounds have poured their wisdom and skills into her life, including massage therapy, functional medicine, Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and much more.  These experiences shaped her passion to encourage overall wellness in others by combining functional medicine with holistic approaches, such as nutritional therapy, bodywork, and lifestyle guidance.

Through her practice, Alicia helps women navigate complex health challenges, offering personalized care plans that fill the gaps where traditional care often falls short. She now partners with Common Ground Wellness, the very place where she first sought out holistic care, coming full circle from patient to provider.

Passionate about creating a lasting community impact, Alicia leads nonprofit mom’s circles, offers holistic education, and collaborates with other wellness practitioners. She is expanding her services to include wellness retreats and care packages, including primary care and tele-health services.

Alicia’s mission is simple yet powerful: Empowering women through evidence-based, functional health solutions to thrive during menopause and perimenopause.

Alicia’s patients refer to her care as “magic”, “genius”, and “a warm hug”. They describe her as a friendly, compassionate, reassuring, down-to- earth provider with a wealth of knowledge.

Alicia lives in Louisville with her husband, 3 little girls, and a Great Pyrenees. She homeschools, attends the Forest Pals-Waldorf Forest school at Bernheim, and performs acrobats in the Turners’ annual Circus. She loves cooking with friends, singing folk/bluegrass songs, camping, and exploring nature.
